Now more than ever, we need independent socialist media. Socialist Worker and socialist.ca don’t have rich backers. They are funded through sales, subscriptionsand donations from supporters. Each year, we rely on a fund drive to help sustain an independent revolutionary socialist voice in the media.

Why Socialist Worker and socialist.ca matter today 

We are witnessing unprecedented multi-crises – war, genocide, climate change, economic instability – caused by capitalism which puts profit over people. Far-right leaders scapegoat immigrants and the LGBTQI community for capitalism’s failures. But there has also been tremendous resistance over Palestine, workers struggles, Indigenous sovereignty, and against oppression in all forms. 

 

Socialist Worker and socialist.ca are consistent voices reporting on these struggles and agitating for action. They also feature political ideas and theory about how we can get rid of this rotten system and build a better world. 

 

Growing our presence on the streets and online 

Thanks to all those who donated to past fund drives, we are sustaining a monthly printed publication and expanding our social media presence giving socialist ideas a much wider reach. With your help, we can continue this process ensuring socialist ideas will find a new audience in an era of crisis and radicalisation.
